Maria graduated with her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from West Virginia University. She has over a year of clinical experience working with pediatric patients in their natural environments (home/daycare/community) as well as a sensory gym. Maria has experience working with a variety of diagnosis including but not limited to: ASD, SPD, developmental delays, handwriting difficulties and neurological disorders.
She spent three months in Florida on a pediatric clinical rotation with a specialization in treatments for sensory processing disorder, autism spectrum disorder and learning disabilities. While there, Maria realized her love and passion for pediatric occupational therapy. This rotation sparked her ability to provide sensory therapy in any environment.
Outside of work Maria enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new places and completing DIY projects. Her hobbies include strength training, exploring the parks of Raleigh, going to the beach and diving into a good mystery novel.
