Lauren Williams, PT, DPT

Pediatric Physical Therapist

Lauren Williams is an energetic physical therapist and compassionate advocate for children and their families. She enjoys using hands on techniques to facilitate motor learning and healthy movement patterns as she has taken courses in NDT (Neuro-Developmental Treatment). She is knowledgeable in adaptive equipment and orthotic prescription. She works with caregivers to come up with home strategies that promote carryover and optimize the physical development of each child. She is competent in both English and Spanish.

Lauren received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Duke University where she also studied Psychology and Spanish as an undergraduate. She had a strong internship experience in pediatrics with Duke University Medical Center where she treated kids in the outpatient setting as well as received mentorship in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Durham Public Schools.

Lauren began he career in the inpatient rehabilitation setting. She has experience rehabilitating adults following strokes, limb amputations, joint replacements, cardiac surgeries, as well as progressive neurologic diseases. She has been with Kid Sense Therapy since 2016 applying her knowledge and experience specifically in the area of pediatrics because she is truly passionate about working with kids. Lauren is married and has two sons. She loves spending time as a family outdoors and around the kitchen table.
